today is derby day! i went to pelican tavern with a couple friends to watch the race. it was so exciting to see it this year since i missed it last year! watching the ladies in their sundresses and fancy hats, hearing talk of mint julips and which kroger made the roses... i miss kentucky.

in other news, i'm really excited because i found out yesterday that i got into the study abroad program in madrid! i have done so many projects on spanish culture - it's going to be amazing to actually be there! and alex got in too! so we will have great adventures learning spanish, exploring europe, and hunting for david bisbal :) my life is so ridiculous!
