and here i'm dancing on the ground

i slept in till 11:00 today! and then i stayed in bed till 11:30. and that after a 2.5 hour nap yesterday. i guess i should start going to be before 1-2am. i thought getting up for school would be easier with classes starting 2 hours later, but it's really not that different. oh well.

last night was fun. i taught some friends from my dorm to play nertz. today i get to go into the real world (yay!) and go to target. then tonight is full moon on the quad - probably to most anticipated stanford tradition for freshman. hopefully it will be fun.

my classes are going well. i really enjoy computer science, even though it is challenging. the concepts aren't very difficult, but it is pretty tedious in that there are so many little steps and even one incorrect punctuation mark messes the whole thing up. still... it's fun. math is going very well. it's getting kind of confusing, but i understand it for the most part. i need to catch up on my reading, though. i also have 170 more ihum pages to read for monday, but hopefully i can get that done. i think my paper is coming along, at least it's a lot better than it was at first. yoga/pilates is good, too. taylor is in my class - go kentucky!

mom and jen are coming to visit in less than three weeks! i can't wait! it will be so much fun to show jenny how exciting and fun college is. it will be nice to see mom, too.

well, time to go eat lunch :)

p.s. thursday i went for an awesome bike ride all the way around campus drive. it was really pretty by lake lag and the hills with the dish. i got lost for a little while, and ended up at andronico's! i got a sandwich - yum! and crystal gysers!!!! i am saving one for jenny :)
